Here are some beautiful comics I've received recently:
I actually won this! It's a beautifully illustrated spooky comic, very in season.
I haven't read this yet.
The favorite comic I read recently is:
Top marks for both the story and the illustration! It made me hunt down 2 of his latest works about a crime solving psychiatrist in Barcelona, which had incredible artwork but that I ultimately found disappointing. Please, however, do not let my opinion discourage you from looking up his work, it's jaw-dropping beautiful!
My second recent favorite read:
This Daniel Warren Johnson guy, man, ... I think I have to read everything he does. Balls to the wall action, hooking you with dramatic human moments, kinetic and gestural brush work but also technically skilled background drawings, ... no wonder he's a superstar.
I also finished reading a novel (I read those too): The Bull From The Sea by Eileen Mary Challans. Here are some passages I like:
"My own life left me to live in her"
"The earth grows weary of my weight, and has carried it long enough."
"These things all stand as clear in my mind as yesterday. It is yesterday that I forget."
I might have to use that as an epigraph one day.
